Water Row Set For Change, Yet Again

A misty morning, with a light chill in the air, promises hope for radiant winter sunshine later. You can't cut across the historic Doomster car park just now as it's being turned into something official, I think. Plenty of fancy stone, kerbs, turf being laid for the influx of tourists we must be expecting.
All change again for Water Row, passing now to a new era of de-forestation and construction.
Photographs below show the P.I. from Water Row today and back in April 2009.

I still can't get my head round the fact that Water Row has trees. I know it has been a long time, but I am still thinking grey tenements, Harland and Wolff and the ferries with not a leaf in sight.
That photo of the PI taken through the trees is lovely, it looks kind of like a huge country mansion.

I hope they keep the cobbled stone in Pearce Lane. When I visit Govan, I find myself always looking for what was there when I was a child. Thankfully, there's still the PI, Elderpark Library, Brechins pub...and that cobbled lane!
