I remember the Band of Hope very well. H-E-A-V-E-N, Heaven, Up above the skyJ-E-S-U-S came down for boys and girls, to dieIf you will only trust in Him, he'll take you by and byTo H-E-A-V-E-N, Heaven, up above the skyLoved all the wee games and songs we sang, but never did keep The Pledge!
I can remember those words too, Sandra. It was someone with an accordion who taught us it. I've still got a Christmas card I made there. Do you remember the boys being 'birrled roon' and asked to try to walk a straight line, chalked on the floor? It was meant to warn them of the affects of alcohol. I wonder if it worked!
